A notice of breach of contract has been filed in King County court in Seattle by Matthew Adkisson against Rob Monster, the former CEO of Epik. The dispute stems from a failed transaction involving the domain name nourish.com. Adkisson alleges that he had paid a total of $327,000 to Epik, which included $300,000 to the domain’s seller and a $27,000 commission. However, the seller did not deliver the domain as promised.
After six months of waiting for Epik to resolve the issue, Adkisson sought a refund. On June 1, 2023, Adkisson and Monster reached a settlement agreement in which Monster was supposed to pay Adkisson $100,000 by May 31, 2024. Adkisson claims that this payment was never made.
In September 2024, Adkisson received a judgment amounting to $310,000 against Monster, based on his Confession of Judgment, but he asserts that Monster has not fulfilled this judgment. Consequently, Adkisson filed the breach notice against both Monster and his wife, seeking to enforce the judgment.
