AFIBER and Netrouting have collaborated to establish a high-speed 400G backbone connection in the Netherlands, linking The Hague and Amsterdam. This infrastructure enhancement is designed to improve connectivity for clients of Netrouting and Data Facilities Data Centers (DFDC), allowing for better latency, increased bandwidth, and high availability essential for digital operations.

Founded in 2007, Netrouting is an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider with a presence in Europe, the US, and Hong Kong, offering various services including bare metal servers, public cloud solutions, colocation, and connectivity options. Netrouting operates its main facilities from the Netherlands and partners with DFDC’s advanced data center in The Hague to ensure exceptional infrastructure performance and flexible connectivity.

AFIBER and Netrouting’s partnership involved creating fiber-optic links between the critical Nikhef and Equinix data centers in Amsterdam, as well as DFDC. The two companies have signed a long-term agreement that will facilitate further infrastructure expansion to support future demands for colocation and connectivity.

With AFIBER providing the high-performance dark fiber infrastructure, the two companies are set to utilize a 400G optical network powered by Nokia. This new backbone is expected to deliver reliable and secure IT operations for Netrouting’s client base while maximizing network efficiency.
