NetIX has expanded its global reach by partnering with Telehouse, establishing a major point-of-presence (PoP) at the Telehouse North data center in London Docklands. This development enhances NetIX’s network capabilities, improves service efficiency, and significantly boosts global connectivity for its customers.

Previously reliant on a partner for access to Telehouse North, NetIX’s new PoP allows direct operations within the facility. This change has cut service turnaround times dramatically from four weeks to under four days, addressing the demand from a customer base experiencing a surge in traffic—from 3 terabits per second (Tbps) to over 4 Tbps in a matter of weeks.

With this new PoP, NetIX’s customers can now effortlessly connect to over 50 Internet Exchanges worldwide via a single cross-connect. This arrangement offers Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), Internet Service Providers (ISPs), and wholesale customers an efficient, cost-effective, and low-latency solution for expanding their global reach.

By integrating into Telehouse North, NetIX has also enhanced access to its parent company, Neterra’s, global infrastructure, which includes extensive networks in Eastern Europe, especially Ukraine, further enriching interconnectivity within its ecosystem.

Dean Belev, Vice President of Connectivity Services at NetIX, emphasized the strategic importance of this PoP in the company’s global expansion efforts. He remarked on the growth in their European network and how this expansion positions them effectively within Europe’s key connectivity hubs, which consist of Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, and Paris.
