EDGNEX Data Centers, a subsidiary of Dubai’s DAMAC, has announced its ambitious plans for entering the US market with a significant investment of $20 billion towards the development of advanced data centers with an expected capacity of 2,000MW over the next four years. This announcement was made during a collaborative event with Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, highlighting both the scale and strategic importance of this initiative.

The company aims to establish cutting-edge data infrastructure that caters to the needs of Fortune 500 companies, cloud service providers, and AI enterprises. The expansion is focused on key locations across the Midwest, including Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana, as well as in sunbelt states like Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

In the initial stage of this expansion, EDGNEX plans to increase capacity through partnerships, acquisition of land in coordination with utility companies, and purchasing existing data centers. The first developments will take place in both the Midwest and the Sunbelt, collectively adding an approximate capacity of 500MW to meet burgeoning demand.
