Colt Data Centre Services (Colt DCS) has joined forces with RMZ, a major family-owned asset management firm, to establish a $1.7 billion joint venture aimed at enhancing India’s data center infrastructure, which is witnessing rapid growth. This equal partnership is strategically designed to leverage the strengths of both organizations to meet the escalating demand for advanced digital infrastructure in the region.

The initiative’s primary focus will be to accelerate the development of existing sites located in Navi Mumbai and Ambattur, Chennai, with plans to introduce a third site in the future. Upon completion of all the development phases, these data centers are expected to collectively reach a capacity of approximately 250 megawatts.

Colt DCS contributes to this venture with over 25 years of expertise in developing and managing data centers in prominent markets across Europe, Japan, and India. The company is known for providing high-quality, sustainable solutions tailored for hyperscale clients and aims to boost additional capacity to serve its Indian customers effectively.
