A lesser-known forum for handling Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) cases has ceased operations. The Arab Center for Domain Name Dispute Resolution (ACDR) is now noted as a former provider on ICANN’s official site.

ACDR has faced controversy due to its association with Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, the founder of a law firm that has encountered a notably high loss rate in UDRP cases as the Complainant’s counsel. This includes several instances of reverse domain name hijacking losses, which casts a shadow on the credibility of ACDR as a UDRP provider.

Abu-Ghazaleh’s public remarks, including anti-Semitic comments made in a televised interview, have drawn criticism and scrutiny from ICANN. This response was complicated by the fact that the comments were unrelated to ICANN’s official activities. Despite discussions about renewal of an associated registrar’s accreditation following these remarks, no significant actions have been taken.

Currently, ACDR’s case decisions are no longer accessible via online links. ICANN mandates that UDRP providers make their decisions publicly available, but since ACDR has stopped hearing cases, this has resulted in a loss of historical case documentation.
