Michael Morris has ascended to the role of Chief Development Officer (CDO), transitioning from his previous position as Executive Vice President of Design and Construction. In his new role, Morris will spearhead Aligned’s strategic development initiatives, focusing on expanding its data center footprint to accommodate the increasing demand for flexible and scalable infrastructure. With almost 15 years of experience in high-impact data center development, he has been instrumental in advancing Aligned’s commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions. Morris previously held significant roles at Equinix and DPR Construction.

Michael Welch has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) after serving as Senior Vice President of Procurement and Design. In this capacity, Welch will lead the adoption of new technologies to ensure Aligned maintains its leadership status while managing platform delivery strategies for successful product launches. His experience since joining Aligned in 2011 includes launching proprietary technologies that have received recognition in the industry.

Shelby Clark, previously Vice President of People and Culture, has become Chief People Officer (CPO). Clark will guide Aligned’s workforce strategy and enhance employee engagement and corporate culture. Having joined Aligned in late 2023, she has already initiated several programs aimed at increasing diversity within the organization. Her past leadership roles include positions at First United Bank and Amdocs.

Matthew Chambliss has been elevated to Executive Vice President of Commercial Strategy and Energy, moving from Senior Vice President of Finance. Chambliss’s new responsibilities will involve the integration of Sales, Finance, Legal, Project Development, and Energy teams to optimize performance and facilitate the company’s growth. He joined Aligned in 2017 as Director of Finance and has played a key role in the company’s financial strategy.
