Netrality Data Centers has announced the launch of a high-density data hall at its Indianapolis Telcom Center, an expansion that enhances the facility’s role as a vital connectivity and colocation hub in the Midwest. This new hall, covering 3,800 square feet, provides a capacity of 1 megawatt, specifically designed to accommodate high-density server environments of up to 30 kilowatts per cabinet.
This expansion is part of a series of infrastructure upgrades made since Netrality acquired the Indy Telcom campus in July 2021. A key feature of the data hall is the Delta Cube3 cooling system, known for its energy efficiency and precision. This closed-loop cooling system removes heat effectively at the source, ensuring optimal cooling performance while minimizing reliance on water-intensive solutions.
The Delta Cube3 system is designed to support rising demands from power-hungry applications, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and high-performance computing, without requiring extensive infrastructure overhauls as needs evolve.
Supporting this new development is a significant $380 million sustainability-linked loan, reflecting Netrality’s dedication to responsible growth and operational efficiency while aligning with broader environmental goals.
The Indianapolis Telcom Center’s strategic importance goes beyond its technical capabilities; it serves as a primary interconnection point in Indianapolis. This facility provides ultra-low-latency connectivity to major metropolitan areas including Chicago, St. Louis, and Kansas City, hosting over 40 on-net carriers.
