I still recall a simpler, harsher time when buttons were cold, efficient, and brutally square. They declared, "Click me, or don’t. I don’t care." But then you glided in with your 8px radii and emotionally available border-radius: 0.5rem. All of a sudden, everything had to be approachable, friendly, and softer than an upbeat startup’s pitch deck font.
Your ascent wasn’t instant. You infiltrated our designs quietly, one slightly-rounded card at a time. First, it was iOS. Next, it was Material Design. Before we knew it, even the SaaS dashboards decided they, too, wanted to resemble a spa brochure. And it didn’t stop there—error messages began to convey softness. Now they softly quipped, "You broke everything… but we love you anyway."
You brought along friends, too—shadows, gradients, soothing pastels. UI that used to embody machinery now evokes imagery of marshmallows attending design school.
