The company has secured a 197-acre plot within the Conesville Industrial Park, adjacent to the now-retired AEP Conesville Power Plant. This development will be Aligned’s third data center campus in Ohio, part of a broader multi-billion dollar phased investment aiming to revitalize Coshocton County.
The initiative will repurpose a former brownfield site into a high-tech economic hub, promising to create thousands of construction jobs and hundreds of permanent operational roles. This move is anticipated to greatly benefit the local workforce and bolster the state’s burgeoning digital economy.
CEO Andrew Schaap highlighted the expansion as a strategic alignment with Aligned’s commitment to providing scalable and sustainable infrastructure tailored for hyperscale, AI, and high-performance computing (HPC) clients. He pointed out the project’s potential to drive billions in private investment, attract new industries, and enhance tax revenues, which would support public services and infrastructure development in the area.
The new data center campus is set to start delivering capacity by mid-2026, with a key client already secured for its first facility.
